Airobotics is seeking a full-time drone spotter & operator to join its on-site operations in the Southwest region.

 

Work is largely observational in nature, involving the monitoring of drones in flight and their operation in cases of failure. The work is done in a small team or as individuals, at irregular hours (rotating A, B & C shifts, or 12 hour shifts of week-on-week-off) in remote locations in the South West.

Airobotics specialises in data collection and analysis with the use of a ground-breaking, automatic drone system. As a CASA certified company, with expanding operations in the Australian mining industry, we are seeking young, energetic recruits with good hands, analytical thinking and proven technical capabilities.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, and has previous on-site experience with a demonstrated understanding and compliance of OHS in industrial workplace environments and familiarity with safe workplace culture. Training and certification for the RPA license can be provided in return for a one-year commitment.

Job requirements:

  • Familiarity with workplace culture and OHS in “on-site” environments
  • High verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have current, valid, manual driver’s license and own transport to site
  • Police clearance
  • Right to live and work in Australia
  • Remotes Pilot Licence (through CASA) – advantage
  • Experience in photogrammetric post processing – advantage
  • Local resident of the South West region – advantage
  • Experience and interest in drones – advantage
  • Zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy
